The voices of YpM blend with those of Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal for this early summer concert at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mission Church. The program includes a joint performance of Caesar Franck's 150th Psalm as well as Gabrieli's Sacerdos et Pontifex, Maudit's En son temple sacré and compositions by Verdi, Vaughn Williams and Patenaude performed by the world renowned Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal.
2008 Tour of Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal
Montreal's acclaimed young singers perform in Boston one day only as part of their 2008 US Tour. The 47 touring singers are ages 9 - 17 and attend a famous boys' choir school founded on the European tradition. Their voices are often heard on radio, TV, in operatic productions and concerts at home and abroad. You may remember their famous 1989 Christmas special recorded with Luciano Pavarotti. The choir also performed at Rome's Millennium Jubilee as part of the Pueri Cantores. They perform both sacred and secular repertoire ranging from Gregorian chant to 21st century works. Composer and conductor Gilbert Patenaude has been the Musical Director of the PCMR since 1978.
