Your Generosity Gives Us Something to Sing About

Youth pro Musica has introduced the joy and fellowship of choral singing to the young people of Greater Boston since 1970. For many chorus members, their YpM experience has been the beginning of a lifelong passion for choral music. But maintaining a program like ours requires significant support. We’re counting on our annual appeal to bring in much needed funding to produce concerts in new venues, hire an administrator, rent rehearsal space, hire instrumentalists, maintain our music library, order new music and more.

Music has the power to change a young person’s life forever. Contributing to YpM helps to make this happen. Please give $10, $25, $100 or whatever you can. YpM is a 501©3 organization and your donations are tax-deductible.

In honor of YpM’s 40th Anniversary last year, the Board founded the Roberta Humez Alumni/ae Scholarship Fund. Named for our Founder and Director Emerita, the fund is designed to provide partial need-based scholarships to singers. Funds raised last season also helped to pay for several singers to travel to Montreal. Supporters are invited to contribute in honor of Roberta, another YpM director, a YpM alum, or someone else. We were honored to received an Alfred Nash Patterson Grant from Choral Arts New England in support of this project. An alumni/ae concert to benefit the scholarship fund is being planned. Alums who’d like to get involved should e-mail us. Stay tuned!
